Glad to see this thread is helpful for fellow members. I have more information but the thread has been locked. Can the OP please un-lock my original post so it may be updated. Here's a few images for folks just opening the hood for the first time in the meantime.

My good friend replaced mine but it was on a C32 not a C230 which have huge differences....do a search on C230 forum or post a new thread asking instructions on alternator removal/installation. Sorry I wasn't much help.

I didnt want to start a new thread for this question because it may be easier than I think.
I am trying to remove my ECU out of my 03 C32 AMG to have it checked out. My local dealer is telling me it has gone bad and told me just to order a new one. I wanted to have a company check it out first before I went and spent over 2500. IS there a write up on how to properly remove it? Or could anyone give me some advice?
I usually work on mustangs, so the mercedes is somewhat new to me. I took off all the covers, the ECU isnt bolted down, it will move freely. I am stuck on removing the modules with the wires attached. I dont want to break anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

MBWorld Fanatic!
But in case you don't start a new thread, just go to the Renntech web site -- they post instructions on how to remove ecu's so that you can send it to them for reprograming. It very easy, under 10 min. w/ a screwdriver, just make sure your wiper blade arm is out of the way before you start. On the C55 you have to stop the car with the blades in the up position.

MAP Sensor Replacement
Hello,
So i am trying to replace my MAP sensor on a 2003 C32. I have the Throttle actuator removed but the sensor is still so deep in the engine i have no idea what to do next and I'm a newb so im scared to go taking more parts off and having no idea how to put them back! Is there any info on the procedure for MAP sensor replacement out there?
Any help much appreciated.
Also wondering what the hose that connects directly into the Throttle Valve at the bottom is called? Mine looks a bit chewed up on the inner tip.

I got this thru a chrome search,
"Hello
PO 105 code is a faulty MAP sensor /manifold absolute pressure sensor
1st check that the wiring and connection to the sensor is OK (its mounted on the engine bay bulkhead with a rubber pipe running to the inlet manifold)
You may need to replace sensor /small plastic part that is connected with 3 electrical wires. ~You can find it at www. autopartswarehouse.com
Part is around $ 80"
