depends on where you are located. some locations just won't negotiate.

I doubt you will get much if any discount, but anything is possible.
You should check your dealer - they may have one available but is likely you will have to order it and wait up to seven months.

I got mine through my broker who found the car @ SOuth Bay Motors in Torrance, Ca. They originally wanted $58K + $5000 markup. I did not agree to this and they finally agreed @ $54600. The car was in brilliant silver and the only options were the CD changer and chrome wheels. At first they wanted $3000 for the wheels but they finally brought it down to $800. That was included in the $54600 price. I'm sure other owners got more options for a better price but it totally depends on the dealership and if you bought other cars from them before. Good LUCK!!!

my deal
i got about two grand off a fully loaded black '03 two weeks ago. it took awhile, but the car was just sitting on the dealer's lot and they don't do a lot of rear wheel drive business here in the upper midwest in mid january. good luck, but i might think about waiting as well for the new model.

It depends on if you can settle for one on the lot, or you would rather special order one. If you can find one on a dealer's lot that you can be happy with, they are much more open to dealing with you on price. Sometimes coming off the MSRP as much as $2000, which was the case recently in South Carolina. The car is still there I believe. Otherwise, whether they will deal with you on a special-ordered car is hard to answer. I got $800 off of mine, and I special ordered it, but I've heard from other folks where their dealer wouldn't budge. Supply & demand, I guess.
Either way, you will NOT regret your purchase! Good luck.

FIND A DEALER WITH THE CAR ON THE LOT FOR A DEAL!
If the car is sitting on the lot they will usually deal. An AMG that does not have an owner is not moving quickly. Don't fall for the "it just came in" or limited supply and demand bull. Email or call every nearby dealer and let them find it and work to get your business. Good Luck!
