Are you the first owner? If not, maybe someone delimited it along the way.

speedo could be off if you have taller tires.

well my friend hit 280km/h in his C32 AMG, and i think it was bone stock, seems many AMG are delimited.

I have a 2002, I do have 18's though, so I don't know if that has any thing to do with it. I'm sure I got over 160mph though.

Limited is removed on mine, but I still haven't gone past 155MPH... The roads out here don't really permit that type of speeding.

I've heard even a stock C32 can reach 180 or so MPH once delimited...

Anyone know exactly what the 722.6 transmission is geared for?

I could've sworn reading ~173MPH with the stock rear-end, tranny and rim size, but I'm not sure.

Mine does not seem to have a speed limiter either.

Larger diameter tires will not affect the speed limiter as indicated on the speedometer. it will still stop at 155 on the speedo (even if you're actually going 160-170 by GPS reading)

to test, just put the car on jackstands and rev it up.

funny you mentioned because I've passed 160 mph on my car aswell (my radar detector has gps and the speed on the gps sensor matched the speedo. I bought the car from the first owner (an old man that never passed 80mph on it ) so i think some cars did not come with limiter from the factory that would explain that.

LOL i do NOT recommend trying to hit your top speed on while just on jack stands...just take it to the dyno and see what you can get on the top of 5th.
