Before/after pics of a C55 resonator delete?
Thinking about doing the res delete this week and want to be sure about what I ask them to cut out. Sounds like it's a great, inexpensive mod although I don't want to do secondary cat delete at this point.
Any strong feelings about going with stainless steel or just generic pipe?

Hey guys sorry to bump this old post, just want to know how long and thick the replacement pipe is, want to phone the shop for a quote first because when I rock up there for a quote and they see its a 'Mercedes Benz' they are gona charge me double. Thanks

Its only maybe two feet long and no bends in it at all. (I have the resonator in my garage and can measure when i get home) Extremely easy job for them, $50-80US tops. They would be crazy to try to bump the price unless you call for stainless replacement pipe. Good luck!

I got a quote for R 260 which is $25.44 in your currency according to google.(cheaper than what you guys pay, maybe you should ship your cars here to get the resonators deleted ) But check the length and the diameter for me, ill appreciate it thanks.

Ill measure tonight
Given the way this work day is going, I intend to be deep into a bottle of Dewar's about that time. So those measurements ought to be good for a laugh.
Consider doing both secondary cats at the same time! At that price, why not?

Lol and try doing the measurements in millimeters for me, that should be interesting. Haha. The previous owner has had the secondaries removed already i see, just want that extra grunt now. Was afraid it was gona sound like a muscle car, not that its a bad sound, i love that sound but it wont suit the car but ive seen videos on the forum and its actually an awesome sound and suits the car.

Alrighty, here we have 48cm in length and the diameter of the piping looks to be 7.5cm. Those are measurements of the resonator piece removed, so expect a couple of cm on both sides just to get the replacement pipe sleeved over your exhaust system. They will know the diameter as it equates to 3 inches and that's really standard. (large but standard in size) Hope it comes together well!!

That is straight up pornography. Love those welds! Any particular reason you went H pipe over X pipe? I am doing true dual exhaust next and deciding if and how to cross them...

Took the car in today for the resonator delete and the pipe is a 76mm, only 1mm out Gg, so that bottle of Dewar's didn't hit you that hard.lol. Unfortunately they don't stock that size pipe but have ordered the pipe for me for next Saturday for fitment. Very inquisitive to how its going to sound, have been listening to clips on youtube but I don't think the laptop speakers do the sound much justice.

Sorry to revive this, but can anyone tell me the the OD of the secondary cats? I have about 5 feet of 304 stainless 2.5in from when I did this on my 210 E55. Thinking of picking up a C55 and was just doing some research. Thanks guys.

I know the pipes from the primary cats to secondary is a 2.5" pipe. I would think it's the same after the secondaries to the y-pipe but I haven't checked. I think it expands after the y-pipe goes to the resonator to 2-3/4" or 3"
