O2 (Oxygen) Sensor Replacement

My check engine light has been coming on sporadically and I always get the same codes, P0432 and P4022. I had a friend check my O2 sensor and the sensors before the catalytic converters are a bit slow, but working with in spec, the sensors after are working erratically and are probably causing my code. My cats seem to be good and I have not had any rough idle or misfires.

So I'm going to replace my O2 sensors after the cats. Here's a thread of the O2 sensors that I found: https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...o2-sensor.html

Apparently the O2 sensor are as follows

Right, before cat - 001 540 50 17 Bosch part # BSH081900
Cheapest price I found $119.17

Left, before cat - 001 540 07 17 Bosch part #BSH081901
Cheapest price I found $135.79

Right/left, after cat - 001 540 46 17 Bosch part #BSH081902
Cheapest price I found $140.19 -I need to buy two of these and they would be the most expensive.

Here is the website I found these prices at even parts.com could not beat these prices: http://www.alloxygensensors.com/Shop...32+AMG&mode=PA

Does anyone know of any where cheaper? When I need to replace the O2 sensors before the cats, is there a wide band O2 sensor that I could replace those with?

So does that mean that I can use what ever O2 sensor I want, they are not C32 specific?

That's awesome, is there a way that I can verify that information? I do not mean to doubt you, it's just I have different bosch part numbers that I believe to be oe part numbers.

Left, before cat - 001 540 07 17 Bosch part #BSH081901

I found the information on the Bosch website. I never even thought of looking there, I wonder why I have different part numbers and why they are so much more expensive. Thanks for saving me a bundle, I can almost replace all of them for the price that I was going to buy two.

Definitely send pics, I'm pretty sure they are the same. The price was $80 right? The cheapest I can find them now is $100.

I got exactly the same codes after getting the ECU retune back from Jerry for the rediness issue with the previous tune. The code doesn't come on right away after clearing, but after driving about a week.

Did you have your ECU retune for readiness issue also?

Nope, I have not done a tune. The car may have had a tune before I had it, but I doubt it. This problem has been ocurring for a year now, the car will throw a code and then they would go away. I even bought high flow cats thinking that the problem could be the cats, but I was told that the rear O2 sensors are not responding correctly.

I'll be getting new ones soon.

I have this exact code! I know! Old topic, I'm also a new Mercedes owner and new on this forum, but my question is simple, did your code came out after you installed high flow cat's? It usually happen on all JOEM vehicles when you do and only need to install extension adapters on the O2 sensors to fix the issue, so what fixed your problem?

Thx for the answer

Martin

@Martin

Doorman sparkplug non-foulers definitely correct the error on secondary O2 sensors. Just like any other car, screw the extension into the secondary O2 sensor port on the exhaust, then screw your O2 sensor into the extension. It moves the O2 sensor out of the exhaust stream, raising the O2 content, and the light will go out. The fix is about $10 for both sides. I have them on my car and haven't had an O2 sensor CEL in years.
