Acronym Database

So I got to thinking about when I first joined the forum and didn't know much about performance cars in general. One of the first things to get me scratching my head was all of the acronyms thrown around in the forum. You know things like WOT, IAT, MAF/MAP, CEL etc...

So I'd like to start a comprehensive list that we can add to the "newbie" thread as a place to see what it all means. I guess I'll start with a few of the above examples.

WOT = Wide Open Throttle
CEL = Check Engine Light
IAT = Intake Air Temperature

Feel free to start adding some more and I'll organize and compile a list in a few days if I get a decent response.

Thanks.

Good list but there are a lot of acronyms used here in the forum that you won't find on there.

Actually, understeer is what happens when the front of the car goes off the track and hits the wall; oversteer is what occurs when the rear of the car goes off and hits the wall; HP is how fast you hit the wall and TQ is how far you take the wall with you!!!

There is also power on and power off over and understeer as well..... Lift throttle oversteer and understeer and partial lift throttle over and under steer.

Honda Accords and non-suspension modded C32s tend to understeer, Corvettes & Camaros tend to oversteer!!
