Looking good mate!

I was just reading some interesting pages about adding a clearcoat on top to give it the real OEM look. It looks like people have varying results. Has anyone tried this out?

Yes.

I have ordered some and am going to try and laquer it and see what it looks like. Varying reports have said it works and some have said it doesn't.

I have never used the stuff before - what does it feel like. Is it smooth or textured?

I wouldn't advise doing the A/C vents.

This looks great! I'm definitely interested in doing this. How hard is it to remove all of the pieces?

The center console is a pain in the ***. Be very careful with the clips.

Does the silver surround thats around the hazard switch come out with the switch or did you have to carefully cut around it?

Work on restoring those worn out leather seats, center arm rest and shiftknob too. It ruins the look of the new wrap.

The seats are hard to keep looking nice. I'm continually conditioning mine, but keep finding wear.

I had it done on my car as well and the pain in the *** part was around the hazard switch The chrome piece doesn't seem to come out unless maybe you heated the glue or something along the lines. Mine still doesn't look that great and its getting signs of wear and wrinkling around the cup holder. I am not very happy with it. When I get some money I am going to have DCT motorsports do it properly I think they quoted me like 1k for the job.

It is glued. I took the glue off to remove it and than put it back on after I installed the wrap..

Hey guys, so I want to remove that center air vent. According to these instructions I would just take off that front speaker cover and then remove the four screws? does the entire center console pop out after that or just the air vent?

thanks in advance

Those instructions are mis-leading. A Canadian or European owner would have to verify, but I believe that those instructions are referring to an air-mix vent that is incorporated into that center mesh that doesn't exist on USA cars.

The center air vent that you are referring to is removed by accessing the releases that allow the vents to be rotated an additional amount and then pulled out as the retaining pieces are released.

That's pretty kick-a. Looks good. I think if I did this, I'd leave the center lower area (around the cup holder and the ash tray aluminum and I would have done the center dash (like you did) in the CF. The door accents would look nice too.

i must agree, USA C55's do not have the scrolling wheel on the center mesh speaker cover on top of the dash... you're right about the "releases" enlightened me to go back to the W203 threads i was reading prior... i never realized there was a release to allow the vents to over-rotate to remove the screws... I'll try it and see if it works the same for mine! thanks!

Would somebody be able to give me a brief overview of how to remove the door panel? I don't understand the repair manual instructions posted on here. I'm trying to install the cf on the door trim, I already finished the entire center console area. Its looking good so far I just cant figure out how to remove the door panel for the life of me. Thanks in advance
