Whine

Well after fitting an asp 178 crankshaft pulley, needswings pulley saver kit and a brand new supercharger bearing my c32 still has a relatively loud whine coming from it. Im just wondering is this normal or is there a problem with my water pump/supercharger as these are the only other things that could be causing the noise.
Ill upload a video of the noise asap.

Do upload a video for sure. Superchargers will whine and a pulley will make it spin faster so it might be louder. I've never heard a C32, so I may not be of much help even with a video but someone should be able to.

My C32 whines much louder with the Eurocharged SC pulley. So I' thinking that might be normal. Then again, you installed a crank pulley so it might be different.

At idle the supercharger doesn't really make much sound. Typical cause of a "whine" at idle is power steering. Check fluid level...

When your actually at the car though its impossible to detect exactly where the noise is coming from.

I suggest you get a stethoscope and check all the pulleys, sc clutch, idlers, ps pump, and alternator. That should pinpoint the source of the noise.

I repalced the supercharger bearing and fitted the need wings pulley saver kit so the only things left are the power steering and water pump and the supercharger itself id assume.

Assuming everything was installed correctly, torque settings, bearing replacement and sc clutch gap then the ps pump, water pump, alternator and sc bearings would be the probable suspects then. Regarding the sc bearings, one forum member found he had almost no sc oil when he went to change the oil.
