Do you have it tuned? Maybe running rich is causing the issue. I would also find a different emissions shop to test again.

Right away would assume it's the catalytic converters. I know the mechanics said it's not but how did they diagnose that? You can't always trust the opinion of a mechanic... How many miles does your C32 have?

I'm not sure how they diagnosed it, but the official state inspectors said that the cats were ok. Car has 80k miles.

You must mean your CO% was at 4.5, not the CO2. As the CO2 should be in the 5-15% range.
Only time I have had my CO% higher than like 0.6% is when I had a bad Cat Converter on my Honda. It also had sky high HC. Not saying that is it but there is a test they can run to see if it is a bad Cat. |
