Long Term Effects of Needswings Seperated Cooling

This post is for anyone who bought and installed the needswings seperated cooling valves. i just purchased this system and want to hear from those people who have bought this mod. I just want to hear h0w temps have been? Any issues? Any concerns? For those who are happy....what difference has it made? How happy are u with it?

Im just trying to see if people are happy with this mod!!!

Ive just got my valve gasket and oil cooling gaskets sealed and finally closed off my seperated cooling valves! obviously the ECU does not measure the supercharger temp. but im wondering how ppl feel about this mod!

Thanks,
Rogue

closing off the system from the engine coolant turns it into a low pressure system from a high pressure system. this is good no matter how its done. i used about 2$ worth of fittings to separete mine. the ecu doesnt read the actual s/c temp but does read iat temps and the cooler the fluid the more heat it can transfer from the hot compressed air and the less timing is pulled resulting in more power

My iat's are 10 - 15 degrees F cooler with the system separated as monitored on the DashDaq. I also have a larger heat exchanger installed, so ymmv.

Dear Dreamer,
May I have some photo about your custom made fitting for this issue?

Thanks

Wilson

I like mine. It was a good kit, easy to install, everything fit well. I don't know if I could feel any performance difference but it made be feel better about the intercooler setup as a whole.

i just bought a pack of rubber female fittings in a variety pack from autozone. your only removing 2 lines fro the circulation system so 4 plugs are needed. or in my case 3 plugs and the small y in the radiator return line was removed and a straight fitting installed to clean the look up

I've have the needswings kit on mine, and love it. You'll notice a big, big difference in the tempature of the lines running to your to intercooler under your s/c, it also has to be a little easier on the intercooler pump operating at a lower temp, and not under pressure, its a win win.
