Question I just bought a 2006 C55 AMG... what do the factory exhaust manifolds look like?

Hello all,

I just bought a 2006 C55 AMG... what do the factory exhaust manifolds look like?

The reason I am asking is what is on the car looks like equal length "shorty" headers.

Any help would be appreciated, I cannot find a pic off of Google. Trying to figure out if a previous owner installed headers.

Check out loudandheard's thread. DIY Headers Installation? There are lots of pictures of the aftermarket headers for the C32. The C55 look the same but obviously have an extra cylinder. The stock ones are ugly cast log style items. There are photos all over the forum, I can post some if you do not find them.

Thanks for the reply, I saw this post you linked. What is currently on my car definitely is not a log type configuration. They are an equal length shorty type configuration... I think they are the Evosports.

Now I have to guess if a tune and or other mods have been done...???

If you could post a pic of the C55 factory manifold I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Scott

Congratulations, headers are expensive and difficult to install.

I think you're right, evosport equal length headers

Here are what my equal length look like for the c32:

Sweet!

Given that... Where to next? I have no idea if it has been tuned already.
