Weistec 3Litre SC for C55 Project

Out Of Control!!
Good luck!
I didn't have any issues with installing. It's the tuning that's been the issue thus far. As far as hardware it's been on the car for months. My electronics are from a W211 E55 now so it's a generation "newer" than the C55. Hopefully have a tune soon
The Kleemann blower is a 2.2L autorotor. I have seen cobras run 18+PSI and make very good power. Actually Ted Baldwin on the forum is running 16PI on his Kleemann blower E55.
Rudy did my conversion but there are several issues with mine and I've been told I'm not going to get any help from him
Nice! Hopefully it'll all turn out nicely. I know the fellow with the W208 CLK55 was haing some issues with the Weistec blower install on his car, but the electronics in that are a generation older than the C55. I take it the car is at Weistec directly? I'm keen to see what they do with the electronics.
X2, the Autorotor I have maxes at about 10 PSI running a tune and Blkbnzzs smaller pulley. The stock pulley on the Autorotor will only give about 5-6 psi total.
Problem with MAF cars is that they are hard to tune. Rudy Compart is able to get the C55 to run on a W211 ECM by totally rewiring it and has done this on quite a few SRT-6.

Very Interesting facts! I guess the 2.3 litre may not be such an upgrade over the stage 1 Weistec if the Kleemann Autorotor has roughly the same volumetric capacity.
I just hope Weistec develops a fuel kit/MAF workaround instead of having to swap the ECU.
I guess Rudy will not be available as a resource to Weistec either then.

So far no updates but I am having my turbo kit installed on my M3.
It will be a very close race I assume.

No major updates. Kleemann is off the car. The midplate is being fabricated and new intake setup being designed for my car.

So prior to beginning the switch to the 3.0L s/c, what was your best dyno numbers? (Sorry if you addressed this somewhere else) I'm genuinely curious because it was no slouch before you started this.
And afterwards, any plans to do anything to get some larger rear tires? You'll need all the help you can get to get some grip, heh.

Sorry the Rudy C thing didn't work out. Perhaps a call to Marcin at Speedriven in Palatine IL can help. He's very knowledgeable as well.

I dropped by on Friday. The 2.3 litre was just about done until they realized that they needed a new pulley system. There are some MAJOR improvements to the kit coming that I cannot disclose but it is very exciting. Heat issue should be solved shortly.

I dropped by again Friday afternoon. 3.0 litre SC was on the table being pressure tested. Valve covers still out getting Red powder coat but I was told SC was ready to go in later that day along with valve covers.

I will ask Steve if it's Ok to post pics. I don't want to reveal anything confidential or proprietary to give competitors any advantage.
It's not far from completion in terms of hardware, next step would be tuning and calibration...

E46 M3 hits 10.4 ET/136 Trap!
When my MaxPSI M3 is ready it will be posing a serious challenge to my Weistec C55.
Too bad both cars are still in the shop. Can't wait to pick them both up when they are ready and have a showdown with both my cars.

Good question. I did not have a written timeline agreement but Steve said it would not take more than 3-4 months. It's going on 2 and a half months. There only 2 cars in the shop and mine is one of them so it appears they are working on it. They just installed the 650cc injectors, powder coated the valve covers, pressure tested the intercooler and about finished with the 8 rib pully/belt system.

Kleemann SC
Do you still want it for $1,000 shipped regardless of condition? I was planning on sending it to Kleemann for repair but if you want it sooner.
I can just tell Steve to send it to you directly after you Paypal the money to me. PM me and I will give you my PayPal ID.

No, not regardless of condition. I have no need for a $1000 paper weight. If you send it to Kleemann and it checks out I will buy it.

ok. I will call Steve to have him send it to Kleemann today. Then we can negotiate a fair price based on the condition as verified by Cory or Brandon.

Pictures of Pully Bracket Assembly for 8 rib system
These came off of the 3D printer and tested for fitment. Next step is to the digital CNC machine to make it into Aluminum.
The pics were loaded into Blackbenzz's thread...https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ne-605whp.html
