Initial impressions:

1) Ride is actually more forgiving and smoother than stock 17s, but this may be due to low tread on my stocks.

2) A tad slower off the line gievn the increased unsprung weight. But just a tad.

3) In terms of handling, these Toyos really stick like crazy.

I like most the look of the wheels. They flow very nicely with the lines of the car. And not too loud either.

Many rwd cars have

lower fender gap in the rear compared to the front. Stock has a lower gap in the rear as well.

Those wheels are great looking. Looks more like an E55 now. How much do these run?

Yeah, really does look like a baby E55! Not a bad look to go for in my opinion. Now I just need to work a little on the HP

Front fenders are normally higher than the rears, c-class is no different. I was thinking of lowering the front maybe a half inch more to make the fenders more flush, hopefully I won't get into any scraping or rubbing problems.

roseylv, I live in between santa monica and westwood, in west LA.

I got the wheels and tires from the one and only Harris. He may have a set coming in soon if anyone is interested.

thanks for the compliments guys.

hamm - I have H&R coilovers and EVO sways. Love'em.

Frank - I have staggered tires Ideally I'd have 9.5 in the rear instead of 8.5, but the offset is off too much for them to fit Fits the CLK fine, but not our C32's. This was initially a concern for me, but on my e36 m3 I had no handling problems with 8.5 all the way around. So I went for it on my c32.

I like the wheels and the car looks smooth but im not digging the way its so low in the back or just looks like that the staggerd setup gives the car its mean look.

The car is supposed to

be lower in the rear, wheel gap wise. If you lower the front more to have a smaller gap, not only are you loosing performance from the coilovers, you loose ride comfort as well. Another give negative is that the car gets an extreme forward rake which makes the car look like it' going downhill when its flat on the road.

Im diggin the look. Two thumbs up from me. I dont see how you can tell its not staggared besides the front and rear dish being the same and it's not like the AMG wheels have much lip on them.

Edit: see my fotki album to see my lowering. I went with much less lowering in the front.

s4 is absolutely correct. if you look at the car, is is almost exactly parallel with the ground. any lower in front would give a more raked look. I'm considering another 1/4 in lower up front, but not really sure yet. Almost all cars have a higher fender up front than in back. Maybe it's more pronounced given the lack of lip in back? But then again most AMG rims don't have a big lip anyways. Dunno, but I like the look.

As for weight...I put much thought into this before I purchased the wheels. I finally decided that, especially as a sedan, my c32 was more for commuting/daily driving as opposed to pure performance/racing. Although I do enjoy the latter very much. Anyways, despite the heavier wheels, the power loss is very minimal to my feel. If I had a truer sports car (ie 996tt, ferrari), it would have been a no brainer to get the lightest wheels possible...HRE no doubt! Anyways, I like the look of these AMG wheels very much, and in the end that's why I purchased them.

Thanks all for your compliments.
