C55 EGR Change-Over Valve

So either I'm an idiot or something is weird with my car. So I accidentally snapped the tip off of the stupid EGR Change-Over Valve while changing my valve cover gaskets. So I immediately got on RM European and ordered one from there, part # 002 540 18 97. Looks like this: http://www.rmeuropean.com/ZoomImage....7_PIE_96F2B9C1

When I opened up my car to pop it in real quick, I noticed that the one on my car is not the same. First off, the part # is 002 540 14 97 and the small hose connectors are in different positions. When I google this part #, it comes up as one for many MBs, 98-01 E320, 00-02 S500, S430, bunch of ML, S, CLS, etc. models.

When I check other websites such as FCP Euro, Pelican Parts, AutohausAZ, they all come up with the same one as RM European did. WTF????

Now I will say my car is a salvage title and maybe someone did some weird sh** when they rebuilt it this thing, but that really makes me wonder if other C55s have the same one I do or the right one? Or maybe the 2006 is different than the 2005? If anyone wouldn't mind just checking real quick I would appreciate it. It's right in front of the passenger side valve cover, you can see the part # clearly on it when you take the front engine cover off.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Also, the electrical connector is totally different and the one in my car does not plug into this one.

This is a different part my friend,

the one you need is a secondary change -over valve,

old # is "002 540 14 97", new # should be "002 540 70 97"...

Yeah, that's the one I ordered today and am going to return the other one. Do you know what the other one is for?? Does this car need both?

If I search the part # again on RM European, it comes up as a "Change-Over Valve for Air Injection System." I confused myself when I used that part # in google and it came up as an EGR Valve for a C240, so I just assumed it was the EGR Valve and ordered that from RM European.

If the other one not expensive, It will be good idea if you can order the other one as a new combination valves...

ZAYED,,
You talking about the EGR Change Over Valve? I already have that one in hand, so I guess I could just keep it and not return it...do those usually go bad?

They not go bad easily, since they not got any kind of electrical shortage or clogged hoses....
