Strange recurring vibrations?

I have these strange vibrations in my c55 at speeds over appr. 65mph. It's kind of small vibrations every 3-4 seconds and they lasts for about 3-4 seconds and then it's 3-4 secs without and so on. I feel it through the seat so I guess it's not the front wheels. I have a hard time thinking it's got anything to do with the wheels at all since the vibrations are there regardless of summer- or winter tyres. I'm wondering if can have anything to do with the torque converter or perhaps the rear shocks?

It is very annoying and all ideas are very welcome.

I had that same issue, probably the motor mounts.

Pop the hood, and with the engine on push down hard on the brake pedal and rev the engine up some. If the motor jumps up its the mounts.

Or the trans mount which is a "jack up the car and check" scenario

.

Thank you for your answer. I did replace the engine and tranny mounts less than 2 years ago though so the problem is probably elsewhere. I've heard that bad prop shaft bearing can cause this, but I'm unsure how to check this

How many miles have you driven since? These cars are known for shredding mounts in 30-40k miles depending on how hard you drive it, maybe sooner than that.

No more than 20k. I would be very disappointed if they didn't last longer.

Okay, it shouldn't be the mounts then.

It could be a lot of things though, lots of bushings in the control arms down there that could be going bad. I would guess maybe those. Are you sure none of your wheels are bent? That could also be an issue.
