Any Interest in Duplicating EvoSport Headers?

WoW! Those headers came out great!
Eurocharged sticker and "Eurocharged" on the header plate pretty much confirms it's their work. That's great news, I was worried that it was going to be some random shop putting everything together. Eurocharged has a great reputation on the boards and they know the technical details/issues of Mercedes cars.
I have a few questions and comments:

- Any pics showing the inlet of the 4 exhaust ports (to show the welds on the flanges)?
- Any word on final pricing (including all the possible options)?
- What kind of coating is that?
- What is the turnaround time for making them?
- Dyno Numbers?
- Install issues/gotchas (Flange alignment, have to remove motor mounts and raise the engine, etc)?
- How tight is the headers in the engine bay and does it rub when doing full throttle runs?

Yes I did. I had the headers installed and dyno tested before and after.
My car has home made intakes, resonator deleted with X pipe, 2nd cats removed, and a Eurocharge tune. Jerry the tuner was out of town so the dyno is without a retune. The headers made gains across the board. With a retune I would expect to see +5hp and +5-10ft\lb torque.
AFR is off.......car needs a retune.
I plan on taking the car back. My motor mounts a shot and might have cause an exhaust leak. I also want to see if my home made intake make more power than the stock unit.

Going back this weekend to fix exhaust leak, motor mounts, valve cover gaskets, brake pads, retune and dyno. Will also test my home made intake vs the stock unit if I have time.

So based on the dyno sheet above, looks like you only gained 7whp and 4wtq. That's not much of a gain especially for a set of headers. And with your listed mods, you should be putting much more wtq down. I have res delete, x pipe, and sec cat delete with my tune i'm at 350wtq. Either somethings up with their dyno or somethings robbing your car of power. But for the price to power ratio not sure if I want these anymore. I can pay $1400 for kleemans and get another 35-40 wtq. If you can shed any light on the dyno or just anything I mentioned please do. I would choose a bolt on header versus the kleeman but not if I'm only getting 4wtq.

So u put down 350wtq with a 17-20% loss thru the torque converter and transmission that is 420-438 ftlbs of torque at the crank. How can a 5.5 liter engine with only 3 valves per cylinder, single overhead cam, no variable valve timing, and stock headers make that power? It doesn't. Your dyno readings are high. You can't compare numbers from different dynos.
You also have a C55 with different gear ratios. I always dyno in the gear that has the 1:1 ratio. The gains I made are across the board and vary from 2-15hp. I did this with a leak one the driver side and no tune. Look at the 5000rpm mark....that's a 15hp gain right there. Peak numbers are for bragging rights.......area under the curve is what really matters.
Only way to test which engine is stronger is to take them to the track.
You also have a C55 with different gear ratios. I always dyno in the gear that has the 1:1 ratio. The gains I made are across the board and vary from 2-15hp. I did this with a leak one the driver side and no tune. Look at the 5000rpm mark....that's a 15hp gain right there. Assuming clyons0203 had his primary cats installed during the dyno run, the reason the Kleemann headers make more power is because they eliminate the primary cats. Primary cats is the BIGGEST bottleneck in the exhaust system, so more cost effective way to get more power is to leave everything stock and get the cats removed.
Based on the assumptions above, the dyno we are seeing is a comparison between the stock system and the stock manifolds, verses the stock system and the shorties.

Dyno is a very useful tool but only before/after comparisons and not between vehicles run on different dyno's under different conditions.
I believe the header to primary cat flange is also a huge restriction which is why i asked the diameter above. I think these would work well if the outlet is large enough and the cats are replaced with downpipes. Of course then there is no need to use Mercedes annoying flange style.

I have emissions-compliant midpipes with 400 CPI ceramics like stock and I notice a definite difference in power (and sound ) between them and my catless race pipes.
Iirc, Renntech and evosport shorties typically made around 15-20rwhp peak gains, I'd expect these to perform similarly once the tune is right and the leaks are fixed. Looks like a good option for those that are in stricter emissions states

I been so busy lately. I did go back for retune, new motor mounts, and had them fix a leak on driver side. The retune didn't do much. Maybe a few HP. It did smooth the AFR. The leak was quieter but has returned. The flange going to the down pipe doesn't fit well.
The dyno was done on a much hotter and humid day than before.

I doubt you will want to hear this again but since the main restriction is the stock flange, downside and cat... Why not chop off the flange, weld in a regular 2.5 or 3" exhaust one which are much easier to seal and use a high flow cat (or no cat at all).

I dont want to run the car without a cat. No cat makes these cars too loud for my taste. I can see if I was in a turbo charged car, where the turbo muffles the exhaust sound.
My car sounds GREAT NOW. At cruise it doesn't drone and is quiet. Floor and heads turn, not because of the volume, but the sound the exhaust makes. Best description is imagine mixing a SLK55 with a Infiniti FX45. I know this is a Mercedes board but the FX45 sounds damn good stock.

Because it doesn't give similar power as you have proven. It is probably cheaper to buy a standard 2 piece set of weld on flanges than have the Mercedes one replicated which is hard to seal. So you are left saving a bit of money and then spending a little more for some pipe and a high flow cat.
I agree though, i also would not run without a cat. To answer your other question... Everyone who bought Kleemann mid lengths was willing to cut/weld. I would be especially if the gains were more than a few hp.
