2002 C32 AMG CPS Help.
Need help with the Crankshaft Position Sensor. There is no room to get hand in behind the engine to remove/replace. Anyone have a trick for replacing this??

Once you remove the MAF and the rubber elbow you should be able to reach down and feel the bolt with your right hand, use a 1/4 drive ratchet with extention and swivel joint to remove the bolt from the top with your left hand, its not easy but can be done. I just did it on a CLK55 AMG there is no room on that motor either. And from the bottom I don't think it possible.

It takes finesse. Like pjg said, remove the MAF.. and get a long 1/4 extension and swivel joint.. kind of hug the engine... fiddle with your left hand and use the ratchet with your right hand... use your left hand to guide it onto the bolt.. and then wiggle it out..
it's frustrating but can be done.. and when you reinstall it put some dum dum on the bolt.. makes installing it so much easier without losing the damn bolt
