Recommended ODBII Scanner for 2002 C32
Hello Gents,
Spent some time today trying to get my TopTak TP-110 CAN OBDII scanner to connect to my 2002 C32. No luck.
Is it possible to use the $10 wireless / bluetooth ELM327s I see on ebay on a C32. I noticed on one of the ads for this type of scanner was that 2001/2002/2003 W203s were not supported. Is there something odd about the C32 where any standard ODBII scanner wouldn't work? This seems to be the case for me...
What are you using successfully to grab and clear CEL codes on a 2002 C32?
Thanks

i have torque and a bluetooth dongle and it doesn't actually read codes. i had the airbag light lit because i pulled a fuse and i went to an indy and he plugged in his really expensive snapon tool and found 4 minor codes and cleared them right away. torque found nothing.

Check out the OBDlink product from scantool.net. The LX model is $70 and pairs with the Torque app on Android. I just bought this and have successfully used it with my '05 C55.

I had an EML,the scanner picked up the code and I deleted the fault. There are a lot of functions on this scanner and it's taking me a while to get through them but all in all I'm pleased with this product

Elm327 will work. But it will show only engine errors. For airbags, transmission, esp errors - you should use star.

Be wary of the cheap eBay models. I own the ScanTool LX model and it does indeed read codes and PIDS for my W203. It isn't 10 bucks but for under $70 with the Torque Pro app it works flawlessly.

i bought this one from Actron CP9575 which plugs into the ODB2 port.
very easy to use, can see the codes, quickly clear them and get diagnostics on many many items. maybe theres cheaper ones out there but this one i'v had no problems with
