You can just empty them, but then you will need ECU programming. I have c55, all 4 cats and resonator deleted, drives perfectly fine. ECU reprogrammed by our local company in Lithuania (150 eur).
One very cool thing I noticed after new ECU is that throttle response now has no lag at all.

I've thought about replacing my primaries as well. From what I've read people have been happy with magnums after market cats. http://www.magnumtuning.com/en/detai...rcedes/c32-amg

Yes, and there is option to change the throttle curve, so your throttle is crisper or oposit. But it's normal to take money for this, if you are a service.

For the autor of the thread:
Yes you can remove front cats ad deactivate rear O2 sensors with STAR
But put some kind of muffler or 100/200 cel cats

Now i'm with straight pipes and have terible "ringing" in front when accelerate. Plan to put the mentioned above cats to get rid of this "ringing"

Don't make mistake to only empty them! You will sound like a russian military petrol truck! Firstly i did exactly this and the same night i put pipes which reduced the noise infront but not perfect

Thanks for link! I've read Walkers are a good cheaper alternative but no idea if direct fit?
