I'm back 06 c55

Hi All,

It has been an interesting few months for me and cars. I first came to the w203 AMG forum with my 02 c32. I sold that in late Feb this year for a 2003 clk55 that was quickly totaled. Now I am back with a 06 c55. Seems like a nice car so far. 92k on the clock. Needs motor mounts and valve cover gaskets. Beyond that I think it in good shape. I do wish it had all the features of my CLK but that is life.

There are a few that i noticed right from the get.
1. no parktronics
2. no keyless go (didn't think i would care but it is nice)
3. no contoured seat adjustments (I have a bad back and the lumbar support was really nice)
4. no digital display on the HVAC control

There are a few other things I miss. The pillar-less look and CLK steering wheel. Besides that I just really liked the CLK. I was pretty much flawless and only had 60k miles on it. I had just done the plugs/wires and fuel injection cleaning too. Not to mention the fact that I lost my Renntech Monolites with that car.

This seems car to be bout 95% of the CLK though.

Is the seat supposed to move as well as the steering wheel when you enter/exit the car. My wheel moves but the the seat does not.

Mine did, but I found it annoying so I turned it off. Its an option in the computer, its called easy access or something like that.

Just think, a sensor, push button start, $200 difference in 2 seats, and a digital vs analog display(plus the coupe body) were worth a $15k premium, new, to some people. The CLK seriously pushed the envelope of being a rip off.

you can get the digital hvac easy. BOught one for my c230 and then moved it to my c55 when I transitioned. Parktronic can also be added. Not much you can do about push start that is "easy."
