RESON GONE!

Just got my resonator delete! Car sounds beast!

The car sounds a lot meaner, but I wanna push further into more HP.

Any ideas?

You can get headers, intake, and a tune and you should be good! Also, get rid of those secondary cats if you still have them. Car will get more TQ and sound even better.

I've been watching some vids with the CAT delete gone, and probably heading towards that direction next. I paid around 190 for the res delete and I have no idea how much a CAT delete will cost me. BUT IDGAF I want that sound!

I did 2nd cat delete.... that is where I felt more power, the resonator doesn't really rob power just changes sound. I replaced resonator with a 3 1/2" pipe. get a little drone at various Highway speeds with the resonator delete.

I am planning to replace the single pipe that replaced the resonator with a X/H combo and then go dual all the way back to the mufflers. just have to find the time.

I my experience, don't go to the shop that specialized in mufflers. These kind of shops are usually afraid to lose their emissions certification and will not remove a cat for you. Get the right size SS pipe and go to a shop that knows how to weld.

It was me. But I just sold it.
To the OP, as other have said, I would get the headers first before removing the cats. Otherwise, the close you get to straight pipes, the louder it will sound. Just don't start increasing the pipe diameter. That may rob you of power.

I went to the same shop that removed my reson, but the guy wouldn't remove the CAT.

Im pretty content with my AMG exhaust setup right now, but if I cant find a shop in San Diego that will remove these cats then I may just reconsider. Tm im visiting another shop to see if theyll remove the CATS. But if all else fails, ill just budget for some headers instead

Just got my second cats deleted!! YEEE WHOOT WHOOT!

Found a shop not too close from home and they actually agreed to delete the second cats for cash up front. I left the primaries alone cause it was highly advised against. In total, I dropped 160 which was pretty straight knowing that the mod wasn't exactly street legal. The O2 sensors were untripped. Totally satisfied. Car sounds beast without coming out front like a ricer.

I have the resonator back in with magnaflow exhaust and secondary cats deleted (one was fried ), i just want to tone down the sound a bit (drone). I n replacement of secondary cats I am considering Flowmaster Hushpower II Resonators 12412409 x2 joined to the factory Res OR Flowmaster Stainless Steel 50 Series SUV Performance Mufflers 852455 and join to the factory res. The width of the area is about 10inch's wide (where cats were) and quite deep. Does anyone have experience with replacing 2ndary cats and resonators other than bottle style resonators? (bottle style has less sound reducing abilities) Any suggestions to tame this magnaflow off 10%. Thanking you and any advise greatly appreciated.

or even some bottle sytle res in place of 2ndary cats (vibrant 1790) and replace the factory OEM resonator with Vibrant Performance Ultra-Quiet Resonator 1142.
