I have OEM HID projectors on my C55 and I was wondering what bulbs you guys were using in you factory setup? Brand? Temp? Etc.

Okay, I got a $50 pair of 5500k Morimotos from theretrofitsource.com and I'm not sure if it's my ballast or what, but it starts to flicker sparatic and randomly after about 15 minutes. I switched them out with Sylvania 4300k (really expensive) and they haven't had an issue! Do you think a 5000k-6000k bulb ijdmtoy will be good to go?

if you bought them through morimoto I woulda just sent them back to them and they would have replaced them. They may still do so as well if they honor "theretrofitsource". I have been running their 5500k bulbs for almost a year with no issues.

Not sure the quality of morimotos but be careful when installing the bulbs. I knicked that little blue piece on the side of the bulb when installing and a few days later it would flicker. Ordered another set and replaced it (carefully using a mirror for help) and its been fine since then. And now I have a spare bulb just in case.

You shouldn't have this issue, I'd send them back for warranty claim.

I tried to send them back to theretrofitsource.com and they basically said that it was my equipment and that they weren't going to accept them since I had installed them.
