Sway bar bushing question

Greetings, I removed my sway bar completely today while working on the control arms (2005 C55). While on the garage floor, I noticed that the bushings do not move/rotate on the bar at all. This does not seem normal. Is it?

The bar bushings are vulcanized on and cannot be changed, only the whole bar. It's fine, if they are moving on the bar then you have a problem. There is 4 bushings, two inner, two outer and the end links. The outer bushings are replaceable, the ones on the bar themselves are not.

The bushings are 2pcs per bar. Your bar is the newer version with vulcanized bushings. MB make this in order to prevent squeaking when the bushings are worn.

When these vulcanized bushings are bad, you can cut them and buy from MB bushings together with the caps for the old style. and you are good to go
