Finally got my C55
I posted originally that I was going to buy a Canadian C55 and drive it back to Florida, but before I did it, I searched and found a mint looking one in Huston Texas.
06 C55 with 45,000 miles for $15,900. Ended up flying there that day and drove it for about 30 minutes, handed him the cash ($15,000), and headed west on I-10.
The car is so tight and drives perfectly. There isn't a scratch on the paint and looks flawless. The interior is also mint, smells like new.
The guy I bought it from was a "dealer" and bought it at auction. We thing it was a one owner car from the car fax. Car fax showed that it had recent service, new brakes, fluids changed ect. It did have an accident in 2007 which probably explains the Brabus front bumper. It also has a carbonfiber shift lever with a cool AMG replacement cap. I will take pictures when I get settled.
On the way back I've noticed that the car has some aftermarket stuff done to it. Really bright blue headlights, all LEDs in the cabin, it makes a beautiful noise under load so some exhaust work, maybe headers too I don't know? They also painted the engine block a green color which I think is so sweet. It also has a nice Pioneer head unit with gps and bluetooth and everything. The steering wheel controls work it which is cool too. And there is an amp in the trunk on the spare tire. The speakers sound really crisp.
I am trying to track down the previous owner and see exactly he has done.
I ran into some traffic on the way back and was at a stand still for 20 minutes and the engine started to overheat. After looking at some threads it seems like it may be the fan because it only overheats when the a/c is off.
I will take some pictures once I get it cleaned up, maybe I can get some help identifying my mods. The nice thing is, the car has every mod that I planned on doing. I just hope the previous owner did them right.
I absolutely love this car and it is everything I could want. Except that I'm going to have to throw cash at it to fix my overheating issue.
The noise it makes is beautiful. I couldn't find a better car for $15,000.

Congrats on the purchase! Looks like a great low mileage score with some quality work already done to her!

Looks nice. Not to big on that bumper but hey... take a look around in the general fan area. My c32 started overheating in traffic and it turned out the incompetent Indy I had working on it forgot to plug the fan back in. Good luck either way.

none... for now
Yeah the Brabus bumper with fog lights, ironically enough, looks like the base C-class bumper a lot. But because Brabus $$$$$
That price is great. Certainly a good buy.

I drove it 1100 miles home and enjoyed it, as long as I didn't sit in traffic. This is such a unique car and the sound is incredibly beautiful and I love the things that were done to it. I just hope my trip to the indy isn't brutal. But if it is it's the cost of doing business.

they had to take the block out to paint it. No one would do that just to add paint so most likely it's not the original motor. Might not matter but something to think about.

Do you have his number? If you do can you pm me it? I'm trying to track down the previous owner so I can see the history of the car.
Thanks!
