E85/Race gas-Tuned c55-benifit?

Before I had my C55 I had a bmw 09 135 with the twin snails with a JB4 tune and I saw good hp results by doing a small mixture of e85 with my 91 octane.
The car was quick but a different kind of quick.
I also have a station close by that has good juice, it's either 101 or 103 I'm not sure.
Is there any benefit or harm from this? I know the e85 mix can be tough but from my last car it was really noticeable, can we do it on our tuned c55's and see good results?

It is a high comp motor so I don't think mixing it would be harmful. Use it in ratios however and see what happens. I run 95 octane here in my country as opposed to the 93 we have available as well at the gas filling stations.

I have read that Mercedes is one of many auto manufactures that is considering or is in involved in a class action suit to eliminate the ethanol mix mandates. The rubber used in the engine was not designed to withstand ethanol.

From the horses mouth: http://www.mercedes-benz.com.au/cont...hip/fuels.html

From a 99 C280 owners manual fwtw:
"Unleaded gasoline containing oxygenates such as Ethanol, IPA, IBA and TBA can be used provided the ratio of any one of these oxygenates to gasoline does not exceed 10%, MTBE not to exceed 15%"

Alex at Legit street cars (YouTube) did this in one episode and then he took it off. Didn't like the results.
I wouldn't do this to my car. My 2 cents

That guy is an idiot. Also he got his kit from VRP which sells mostly junk. My na 5.4 m113 makes 20whp and 20lb ft on e70. So I am sure it’s with it. Results are great on every car with a m156 also.

Wow, smart fella over here. Not sure if know there probably close to 100 m156 cars running on E85, no issues. Making tons of power, running cooler, safer. List goes on and on. Sorry if you like the Alex guy, poor thing.
