2005 C55 Hit in parking lot pushed about a foot now transmission whines!
Ok title tells story. truck hits my back bumper and pushes the car about a foot to a foot and a half and now my transmission is whining. Fluid is fine. Shifted fine before now slight hesitation in some shifts now. Random times nothing all the time. Please help? Also is the e55 transmission Plug and Play?

Okay. To begin with the car was in Park? That locks the transmission as if the hand brake were engaged. So it was forced to move despite this. So something along those lines that help the car stay parked have been damaged and are probably causing the issue. Are you not suppose to adapt the new transmission to your old TCU for it to work?

Thanks man I see the transmission has integrated parking brake. I was asking about the E55 transmission because I could just get one and upgrade at this time. Will call around to see if I could send tcu to be programed to E55 spec. Thanks again

Pleasure. Hope I have helped you. I don't know whats responsible for holding the gearbox in lock position to prevent the car from rolling but I have a PDF file of the 722.6 transmission and will see if I can read up on it to see what controls that area.
Just find someone who has a Star Diagnostic tool. They can set it to work but make sure that person knows how to do it. Otherwise you might just be buggered.
