FS: W203 H&R Springs, struts, shocks, tools
SOLD
Hey AMG guys,
I'm new to the W203 world, but have 2 other Mercedes in the garage, including an SL55
My C32 came with this H&R Suspension Kit, which is too low for Denver snow (it can snow year round here!).
I've pulled the kit, cleaned and inspected it, and am listing it here for others to use. Comes with everything you see.
Front and rear have adjustable perches to allow setting ride height. Front is coil over; rear springs and shocks can be used independently.
No leaks, no issues, minor rust on shocks, all parts in very good to excellent used condition.
Based on prior records this kit has about 60K miles on it. From the gas pressures and ride check damping, they appear to be good as new, but I don't know these shocks or springs well. They are not worn, or worn out.
Probably 80 pounds of gear here, so shipping is going to be at least $80-100.
I'm looking to get $600 for everything including the shipping.
That's a great deal on over $1200 worth of gear.
Any questions please ask. Can also send more pictures.
Cheers, Kelly

kbob99,
am curious what Mercedes parts did you go with after you replaced your aftermarket H&R suspension kit on your C32?
I have some front suspension work to do and in checking this mercedes parts site it seems the C32 AMG and C320 are using many of the same part numbers for the front suspension... i'm confused as I assumed the AMG had performace suspension so the part/numbers would be different no???

It appears the links above are showing the brakes, not suspension, and state "With 4Matic", which I don't believe the C32 ever had. I would expect the parts to be the same if they did have 4 Matic, due to the drive shafts, but they don't.
To answer your question, I replaced the springs/shocks with the stock C32 units when the H&R suspension kit came off. No brakes were changed, other than the pads to Akebono.
From what I understand, the front brakes are different, as well as both the sway bars on the C32 vs C320.
I have replaced all of the C32 rear suspension links with bushings, and front bushings, as well as eccentric camber/castor bolts. So if you have DIY suspension questions I'm pretty sure I can answer them.

Thanks Kbob. so i have my c32 in the shop now for some front end suspension work due to some clunking and noises when turning that dont sound good.
am trying to figure out what parts to order and ensure they are for the C32 and not C320 as those sites i showed seem to indicate same part numbers regardless of C32 or C320 which is confusing. i'll check a few other mercedes genuine parts sites see what i find....

My guess is you need bushings, ball joints and possibly the strut bearings with the noises you speak of. The shop can tell you what they find.
If you are upgrading to AMG struts, I believe they are straight bolt on units.
If you want to upgrade the brakes, you will need the calipers and disks. Not sure if they are straight bolt on units. Search the W203 sedan section for owners who have taken this route.
Same for sway bars...should bolt on with the correct bushings replaced. Junk yards or members who upgraded on this forum are a good source for parts.
Good luck!
