C55 AMG from Finland
Hi, here is one C55 AMG from Finland!
I have had it for almost a whole year now.
I have removed the resonator and it sounds good without it.
Roof and trunk spoiler are wrapped and rear lights smoke tinted. Japan Racing 18" wheels 8.5 front and 9.5 rear.
I had some transmission issues and i had the torque converter changed at the dealer + some other things in the gearbox (cost 4000 euros) it helped a bit. I still would need to get the spark plugs and plug wires changed because of some misfire.

Good looking car there pal. Mind telling me what sounds you heard or problems you experienced which led to your decision of changing the torque converter and you mention other tranny components?

Yes, thank you! Well when with cold engine in the mornings the car jerked pretty hard at around 1700rpm and that was the main thing. The car also was shaking when idle but after the transmission fix it didn't go away and new analysis for that is the spark plugs and wires. I changed the transmission oils two times but it had no effect on anything. Finally the main dealer here in Finland checked the car and said there was glycol leak and they said that the torque converter needs to be changed also. I didn't think about it more and just said that they can do what they think needs to be done. Oils were ofcourse changed too and i think the KYB valve and some wiring and stuff i don't know how to say in english But it helped and the jerk is now pretty much gone.
The reason the car jerks around 1700 rpm is often the PWM-solenoid in the
gearbox. Occurs when cold. Change it!

Rough idle is often caused by bad motormounts/gearboxmount.

Well i paid already the whole thing and they did free check after that for the idle shake because the transmission job didn't solve the shake issue. Well they did what they did and i am not eaven 100% sure about all the thinks they did but it worked for the jerk. Yeah it was a bit expensive but it has 2 year warranty and i think in some way it was good thing to do. If i want to sell it at some point it's good thing that it is done.
