Hey,did you ever think that the valve was faulty---if so--what would you do next---your choices are---sell the car---give the car to your girlfriend or exwife--continue to drive the car---give the car to a homeless person and get a tax deduction---tow the car to an MB dealer and ask,"what can I do"---choose wisely!!

Cheapest and possibly easiest fix would be to buy a new one (they're pretty cheap), pull the old, inspect it for cracks or a bad o-ring if it has one and hope that was the problem. But I'd clean the area really good first and inspect it until you could see the first drops of fluid. That may pinpoint the leak, depending on how bad it is. It looks like it's either coming from above the steel plate the cap is sticking out of and transferring to that front cable or coming from the cap's seal since the area directly around it seems relatively dry.

Start simple and work your way to obscure causes and fixes. These are our babies and it's usually a cough, not deadly pneumonia.
