Whats your IAT's after PLM HE + Intercooler upgrade (Speedriven)?
was curious for any feedback on your IAT's if you're running the PLM heat exchanger with a upgraded intercoolre from Speed driven?
i got the intercooler installed about a month back and PLM unit about 2 years ago.
driving around in chicago with bad stop/go traffic tonight in 70 degrees my monitor was showing IATs steady at 130-140 Farenheit which seems really high (yes/no??). especially since it was only 70 degrees outside at 6pm. not flooring it obviously since in traffic.
my understanding is under normal cruising the IAT's on stock cooling are about 30-40 degrees farenheit above ambient.
if those IATs with my cooling set up are considered too high, then could my issue perhaps be air pockets and the system was not bled properly????

That does seem high.
Today it was 20c and I was 6-9c above cmg home from work.
Check your iat sensor, have a bad pump or air in system

i was out driving tonight in 70 degree farenheit weather and the lowest IAT's was getting was at 100 deg farenheit (30 above ambient). i did some hard pulls and it spiked then came down pretty quick, but never went below 100 deg farenheit with the ambient temp of 70 deg farenheit.
will check the IAT sensor.... or air in system

that seems excessively high John.
I've been running a EC/HE, stock IC and Bosch 010 and see consistent IATs of no higher than 20* over ambient regardless how hot it is outside.
Try burping/bleeding the system or give speedriven a call and have them sort it out but something's not right.

Morphh / C3Duece - i was driving again tonight and at 72F outside while cruising 60 mph the IATs on my monitor never went below 115-120F.
you are probably right its maybe the sensor is bad/oil covered, or system bleed, but that IAT level is too high and probably worse than stock....
will dig into it and give an update what i find... thx for the feedback guys.

I would bleed system first see if that works then get new iat sensor. Hope this helps

Morphh - i had tried to bleed it doing the basic approach of running the car at idle, heater on High, and coolant cap off for 15 mins.
but when looking into the coolant reservoir i never saw any fluid movement or bubbles so assuming that didnt do anything. for that method, seems you must have a way to manually switch on the intercooler pump otherwise it the pump wont run at idle and move fluid through the system and evacuate the bubbles (unless i'm wrong, the IC pump only engages when the SC is active?)
will go ahead and attempt a coolant system bleed trying this approach posted here which was a good write up....
