S55 Rims On C55 HELP

Ok so my rim cracked and I found a set of 05 S55 rims for sale

S55 front stock rims are only a inch wider then C55 rims (18 x 8.5) so the stock tires size in the front of S55 is 245/45/18 and I'm running 225/45/18 in the front of my C55

S55 rear is 18 x 9 with 265/40/18 tires and C55 is 18 x 8.5 and I'm running 245/45/18, I don't see any problem with the rear fitting S55 rims fitting on my C55

Now my question is, how will the front fit? I think those 245 fronts would make my car have bad steering and maybe even rub.

Now I'm thinking, would it be fine to put 235/40/18 tires on the front S55 rims? Need some answers before I pull the trigger on these wheels. Thanks guys!

I don't think the change in tire size is as much an issue as possible need for spacers. I actually think the 245's and 265's will make the car look better.

The one reference I found for the S55 OEM wheels states these sizes:

Front 18x8.5 ET44
Rear 18x9.5 ET46

I'm not 100% certain that this is correct - can you ask the seller? If this is correct, then these will *not* fit a C55 without spacers.

Stock C55:
18x7.5 ET30
18x8.5 ET34

Since you're also changing up the tire size, then this is a full custom fit - unless someone here is running this exact setup, it's hard to say how it would work.

I have C55 wheels available for sale - which one do you need?

I've been reading a lot lately on offset and the big issue with such a big offset difference is the wheel being pushed so far into the inside of the car. The most consistent recommendation is not to go past a greater change of ET than 5. Your looking at 14 and 12 I'd be worried about the tires rubbing on something.Very good read: http://www.moderntiredealer.com/arti...o-wheel-offset

Those are the same specs on the SL55 wheels I had on my C55. The 265's will be very close to rubbing the inner fender liner in the back. Front needed at least a 10mm spacer to clear calipers. Your results may be different, due to wheel spoke design.

I wouldn't do it personally. They will also more than likely weigh a lot more than the stock C55 wheels. I know those 19" IV split rims above are a lot heavier.
