Street value with those miles you are looking anywhere from 8k to 12k depending of the maintenance and condition.

Accidental L8 apex

Insurance value is roughly $10k, so he's spot on. Black ice, herd of deer(common where I live) and a stopped old lady in a Malibu had me find out the hard way. Car is currently under the knife and I mistakenly got stuck in a Sentra that smells like an ashtray. Life's been better car-wise.

Parts add up quickly so it takes next to nothing to total one out. $1,520.00 for an unpainted front bumper, $630.00 for a side skirt, etc., etc.. The fact that my car is 1 of 451 brought over for '06 means squat. It's just another w203 so far. Seeing as how c32s, c36s and c43s aren't thought of as special or sought after yet, I'm not holding my breath.
