Dyno run with Evosport Stage 1 + SL55 intake

Hi everyone, just had my car dynoed pretty happy with the results 320 RWHP 315 RWTQ, hoped it would be closer to 340RWHP. Since I was running 94 octane and the temp was 70F at sea level (Evosport Stage 1 with SL55 splitter). Unfortunately I did not have a baseline pull before I installed the kit. Still the increase in torque is very noticeable and that is what wins races (so I have heard).

Just wish I were closer to Evosport so that I could get some fine tuning in there. But according to all the calculations I have done I picked up about 30-35 horses. My calculations were almost bank on with the dyno results.

I wonder if this is right though because the guy did the run in 3rd gear he was afraid to do it in 4th. I know fourth gear is a 1:1 ratio would there have been a difference?

Thanks Evosport!!! Keep up the R&D on the C32 as I cannot afford a C55 or E55 anytime soon.

That's just about a duplicate of what I ran with my stage I & splitter. My dyno guy did it in 3rd and 4th, and the run in 4th came out about 8 hp higher. Next step: 1/4 mile test your car!

I've had the chance to 1/4 mile the car and the best I did was a 13.15 I was hoping to dip into the 12.9's but according to my calculations the best I can do is a 13.0x at 108.xx (Putting my degree in accounting to good use)

My goal has always been to have a car that ran 12.5's on street tires full tank just as I would drive it daily and of course doing it in style.

I figure even with a stage II it would not be enough as I need about another 50HP to reach my goal. And my finances and fiance definitely say no way to an E55.

I have freaked out my buddy who is an american muscle guy with his chevelle, he used to bash any kind of import, not anymore... :p When I sold my Grand National he thought I was a wuss.

I am now saving up for stage II but a supplier said he could get the supersprint header for me, has anyone got them and how do they compare with the Evosport ones, reason is that it cost me a small fortune to get my Evosport stage I kit up into Canada with duty and such, but the supplier here can get me the supersprint for about 500 bucks less (that would be like 60 bucks US with our lousy Canuck Buck). But I am a little wary as with Evosport I know what gains to expect.

I was also thinking about a little shot of nitrous 25-50 horse, I read someone here had nitrous (who makes a kit?) but on the same note I heard that nitrous and superchargers do not play well together. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Evosport uses the SuperSprint headers. So you will be getting the same thing from your dealer as you would from Evo.

Where in Vacouver does someone go to get their car Dyno'd? I would like to do a before and after. Also, I thought that duty disappeared, and only PST and GST are applicable?

There is only one place left in the lower mainland to dyno your car on a dynojet, it is Resnick's Automotive 1655 Broadway St. Unit 120
Port Coquitlam Tel. 604-552-9546.

It is a pretty small shop but they have some pretty nice cars there. Electronic Arts went there to get all the sound recording of cars for their games. Pretty neat. It cost 75 bucks a pull or 200 bucks an hour.

There was duty GST and PST on the shipment about 900 CAD plus the exchange rate ~1.34 the kit was just shy of 5K CAD without installation. That is a lot of money for me, and I still want to do mags, suspension and the rest of stage II.

Oh well that is just the cost of being an enthusiast, as my friends say "you should pick a cheaper hobby"

TC: Next time you dyno your C32, make sure they have adequate cooling.

C32s are very touchy to proper airflow. Allow at least 7-10 minutes between runs with big (36'' and above) fans.

Use 4th gear. 3700 to 6200 rpm runs.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with a 13.1 @ 108. I would say that this is pretty typical considering your mods. How about some weight reduction (battery, wheels)?

Nothing wrong I am pretty happy about it since I did it with 3/4 a tank of gas, no additives. Did not remove anything from the car and did not fiddle with tire pressures stock Michelins, just drove it to the track from work and put the mumbers on and away I went.

I know the 12's are not far off I just want to keep up with the new vechicles coming out that get faster and faster

Looking at the optima battery and saving up for a nice set of light forged wheels, probably in 18" nothing too wild.

I think I will get stage II next. I like the sleeper stock look. As my buddy says "Walk softly and carry a big stick"

Will do Vadim, keep up the good work with the tech updates and the R&D for the C32 and the C55's
