Jeez I hope I won't have to take out my Green Filters.I was told that it's a good thing to let the filters sit for a day or so b4 putting them back in for drying purposes. My friend used a blow dryer to dry the oil on his K&N's.Then he let it sit in warm and cold air for a couple of days he told me and used the blow dryer again.I'm still leary about the oil though. It's amazing how much the MAF can rob the car of HP and make it run lean.

yes, i also wonder about fuel efficiency and screwing up cats or something.
so i didn't want to drive it at all until i got the MAF replaced.
some folks on the forum mentioned leaving K&Ns on the shelf for 6 months before putting them in to let the oil dry . . .
but i don't get one thing . . . oil is there for a reason, right? it's not just to clean the filter is it? i think you first have to clean it with something else and then oil them. so if you dry the oil does the filter work properly without it?
why put it there in the firstplace then?
please educate me folks, i want to satisfy my curiousity

i'm thinking about posing pictures of the old opened up MAF, anybody interested?

Well the oil is supposed to help the cotton in the filter catch the particles.I could go back to using the stck filters.

MAF and OEM filters

Ordered OEM air filters from the guys below. More than likely will buy another MAF from the aforementioned source on the bay. Thanks for all the input guys!

lol I use the stock filters! But I cut the intake for more sound, so there comes a lot of hot air and I think that's not soooo good! I have to make a special intake, but I'm too lazy to built it by my self
