Does anyone realize that the torque to weight ratio on a c55 202 is higher than almost any sedan made before maybe 08-09 and excluding other amgs?

I keep anticipating that moment around 2500-3000 rpm when the c43 really wakes up but with this motor the power is always there. I dont think im used to it yet

can you hook up your stock airfilter box clamps ontop of your ML engine?
brackets are they the same on ML engine as for the c43 engine?

would c43 stock airbox clamps fit on w220 S55 NA engine brackets?
S-klass airbox has a different style design

first picture you can see how filter box looks on s55 amg
do you think MB designed the brackets to be same on all M113 engines?
which means c43 airbox clamps would fit m113.986 engine?

Usually all M112/M113/M112K/M113K sharing the same airbox rubber bracket place,,

the difference in the space & distance in firewall of each models.!

i found an 1999 S55 NA engine with close mileage to my speedo.
only thing that worries me is for the C43 airbox to connect ontop the engine?

this is what i have to do?
i have to remove the oilpan and pump from S55 engine and take these parts from my c43 engine to install them onto the S55 engine?
i will have to use my harness and TB?
do i have to swap over the cam sensor from my C43 engine?

the 113.986 engine have 360HP, does it have 530NM?
does 113.980 engine from E55 have 510NM?

Don't worry about C43 airbox, it should be fit,

oil pump & upper oil pan need to be changed, but the lower oil pan is the same with C43,,

99-02 S55 out-put is the same of all other 5.4l...!!

Airbox firs fine. All m113 engines are same from what i know. Its the different ecus that give out different power outputs.

top of the line was S55AMG with NA113986 engine
S55AMG K had supercharger fitted a few years later which was even better than predecessor.

I understand that the c43 uses a older version ecu than the car i got my engine from.

Could i just but the ecu from lets say a 2002 e55 and use it in my car? Is there a lot more to it than plug and play? Would the wiring be the same and would i still need to reflash? Im assuming the power output would be a little better?

if you do use the later ecu you would have to switch the abs ecu which is attached to it as well if i remember right cant specifically remember. As far as I am concerned that newer ECU is not going to give you more power. Been there done that. Leave the stock ecu and abs module in place.

Correction you will have to use the c43 abs module with the ecu from the other car.

C43 w/clk55 Organs
Pjmak, congrates on the new found power, it really is the best value mod you can do for the 43!

As I know all 98-02 had same compression 10.5, later m113 in c55 203 /clk55 209 had the higher compression 11 and higher hp/torque. Can anybody confirm if I am incorrect?.

Zayed, as you know touch shift was found in egs51 me2.0 for c43 and early clk55 also but I think you were refering to compatibility with me2.8?

That's cool to hear. Last year I ran my 43 against a 335i up to 140mph and only pulled a car or two on him.
