OBDII Bluetooth + iPhone apps
I just bought an OBDII bluetooth device that will connect to my iPhone and display all sorts of cool info
I have already downloaded a couple apps and can't wait for the bluetooth device to arrive so I can try it out.
Here is a link to the bluetooth device I bought for $25 on ebay:

Here is a function list:
Functions
I will post results once I get the OBDII device, should be in a week or less

Hmmm I thought the CEL light was the big yellow triangle in the speedo dial which lights up when something is really wrong? All the other little lights are for other "minor" problems

I do not believe the EURO C43's have a CEL light. The CEL light on the US C43 looks like a little engine and says "Check Engine". The triangle you are speaking about it the traction control, it lights up when you lose traction or if you have ESP turned "off"

seriously euro cars never had the CEL.
when my o2 fokked up I didn't know what was wrong with my car and I kept driving with it.
with a CEL I would have known something was bad.
all the time I thought my transmission was going bad until I got the codes for bad o2.

I just ordered mine off eBay. I will receive in 3-4 days. Can't wait to try it out. As I was reading the details, you could also use the laptop? Does the software also comes with it?
P.S. Where do you download the apps for iPhone?

Ivan bagged out We plan on doing one in a couple weeks once I have my painted rotors and calipers installed and he installs his new avantgarde grille, I have been SUPER busy lately and have a pile of parts (rotors, pads, SS brake lines, e brake kit) to install on my car but have had no time

That sucks. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to see that the photoshoot will happen anytime soon. I want to see your C43's upgrades so bad. Makes me so envious...

I have been thinking about a OBDII connection in our C43's. Are there any elsewhere than under the plug of the black box in the engine compartement (under the screen passenger side)?? Never have seen any in the cabin, but I have not looked very closely under the dash though

I've seen a plastic cover on the passengers side of the dash when you open the door.
is it for killing the passengers glove compartment airbag or is it a connector for some kind of electronic gadgets?

Here is a screen shot from the WIS, it is shown on a W210 but the WIS states it is in the same location on a W202 and judging from the picture I believe it to be true. This is a screen shot of a EOBD (Euro OBD):
X11/4 (rectangular plug) is the location of the OBDII connector, the one under the hood (circular plug) appears to be the connector for the SDS.

the round plug for factory STAR is under the hood on passengers side.
When I had to change my MAF, my mekanik plugged this black plug with millions tiny small pin holes for reading codes, this I know about.
But
When you open the passengers door, not the underside plastic cover where the cabin filter is located!
It's on the side of the dash there is a small plastic cover if you pull it, there's somekind of round pin connector??
What is that 4?

Seems like I've seen that round plug before . . . . . . .
But back to the other round plug.
