Hey guys new member here, if somebody could help me out so it's clear that would be muchly appreciated! I have an M113 5.0 from a 2003 E500 that I want to swap into my 97 C180, what exactly are all the parts I need to have before I'm able to complete the swap, thanks guys!

That swap might be incredibly difficult. You would need a new transmission, new mounts, new power steering system, new ECU, new TCU, and possibly new subframe. TBH it would be cheaper to buy a C43 and put the 500 in that.
The cars people swap 55s and 500s into are usually c43s which are already set up to house an MB v8, and already have the right ECU/Trans for it. If you decide to attempt the swap anyway, make sure to post a build thread.
