SPARE WHEEL
What's the story on the original factory spare wheel & tire. It's marked not to exceed 80KW. Is this due to the undersized tire or is the wheel a sub-standard light weight.

SPARE WHEEL
I was hoping someone would comment on my question concerning the spare wheel/tire. I wanted to mount a full sized tire on the spare wheel and run it on the car but I am concerned about safety issues.

I would guess that the tire being smaller and lighter does not have as much safety margin in terms of traction and heat dissipation.

Assuming you are using 17" rims, the spare is the same size as the standard front wheel. As the rears are staggered (larger), when using the spare (narrower) you are limited in speed so as to avoid problems with the electronic sensors.

The rolling circumference of the spare should be close to the standard wheel. The circumference of the standard front and rear wheels should not be significantly different (Unless your car looks like early '70s Nova hotrod).
