ENGINE COVER STAR FIXED!
Thank you to the member that posted how to fix this problem, sorry don't remember who did, but THANK YOU!
BTW it was very hard to drill the holes in the center so I made them big enough so I could have enough slack and move the star in its true center.
Seriously was a bit tricky because the star does not cover the circle perfectly, but it looks great now.
I used Goop to glue the star prongs (and clips) to the plastic cover on the back and that's why I also added metallic tape to protect it.
Hopefully it will stay in place.

ENGINE STAR COVER
I originally posted a thread on this subject on 3/10/2014 on my experience.
The S series W221 trunk star fits very well, drill 3 size 5/32 holes and it fits so snug no glue needed. Could not look better than original.

After two days on a hot day I checked the metal tape and Goop glue under the star. It's all good the Goop adhesive felt nice and hard. (that sounded weird)
All good.
