Valve cover reseal

So, I re-did my VCGs maybe 6-7K miles ago, and it looks like they're already leaking

I bought new gaskets and used the right goop to help seal them, cleaned everything really well, all surfaces, etc; yet here I am. So, before I get in there to do it again, any tips on resealing them so they last another 100K miles or so?

Thanks guys

Retight the bolts again before starting over. My driver side leaked after I did mine, I tighten it again and leak stopped.

I think I got it. When I did the whole reseal, I somehow missed the breather cover on the right valve cover. Probably going to just re-do the whole thing anyways (used blue sealant, looks tacky), but resealed that one breather and I'm not noticing nearly as much smell/smoke, if any at all now.

I did read that you want to tighten in a clockwise position, and that you don't want to over-tighten them as you can strip the threads out of the head.
