Looking to sell '98 C43 with 82k miles.
Hey all,
Have had my car for about 3 years now...bought it with 59k. Use as a daily driver. Changes in my life right now and need a truck. Been a very good car.
Things that I know have been done to the car...
Things that I know need to be addressed...
I really don't want to sell it, but have other priorities that I need to take care of. Looking to get $10k for the car. Just took some quick pics (car is dirty right now). Will put some additional photos on later after I get it cleaned. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you need any additional photos of anything specific. I live in Tampa, FL area.

Things that I know have been done to the car...
- Avangarte Grill
- H/R Springs - Lowered
- Delete 2nd cats and resonator
- All LED interior/trunk lights
- New black felt headliner to match interior
- Aftermarket head-unit with USB for iPod/Zune (also have original)
- Had 17" rims painted and lips re-machined
Things that I know need to be addressed...
- Seat bolsters keep deflating about 1 to 2 minutes after start-up. don't know if it a loose hose, pump going bad, etc?
- Been getting an intermittent ABS/ESP light coming on. Usually drive the car for about 30 minutes before it comes on...it is random.
- As of this week, the driver's window has been intermittent (working right now though)
- I did buy the car out of NC and it had some paintwork on it. Also the clear is fading on driver's side. Guess they had an issue with the clear coat that year from what I've read.
- I was going to pull engine and trans and re-do all seals, gaskets, etc when I hit 100k for another major tune-up. Car doesn't leak oil and seals are barely wet.

quite a low miles specimen. good luck with sale. if I were buying, I'd ask for original head unit or anything else you've pulled from it (but that may just be me)
I know the clear on the hood COMPLETELY failed on my 98 C43.

I honestly wouldnt budge from 10k. These cars are getting harder and harder to find especially with less then 120k
I havent seen one with less than 90k miles in the longest time.
My friend has one with around 65k but its been under the knife :/

22 X3, 21 330e, 97 M3, 97 C36 (sold), but on the hunt for a clean, low-mile C43!
Not to rain on your parade, but just for reference, a one-owner 99 C43 with only 75K miles in pretty good condition (only a few dings and scratches here and there) just sold here in LA for only $7000. I woulda snatched it up in a heartbeat, but it didn't have the must-have headlight wiper feature, so I passed. Jus sayin...

East coast and west coast market aren't always apples to apples. I'm often jealous of some of the deals I see on cars out in California and Arizona. Always good to have another point of reference though.

8500 is probably fair if the body is rust free and straight and the interior is decent ie cracked wood or dashboard. The rest of the car can be easily fixed. Good luck with the sale.
That's the beauty of the c43. Easy to fix and cheap to upgrade.
