c43t + e55 parts car...

I've found with SDS I can recode the C43 ME2.0 with E55 code string from EPC but in the C43 environment with clk55 EGS51 it gives fault code "coded for manual trans".
Another route around the key issue might be to have the E55 ecu virginalised and try re-mate it with C43 EIS to get around the key issue. however my local MB guys said they could supply a key as long as I have proof of with the donor car VIN and parts..
Also...If replacing the driver authorization(EIS/steering lock/ECU) system check the E55's OCP is same frequency as C43 otherwise you will need to swap this for long range key frequency to work..it shares the sunroof control if you have it(donor may not).
Cheers

Zayed,
There is two options when entering coding for the ME2.0, you can do this via 9 digit code from EPC under group 54(ECU) which assigns model type ie E55/C43 etc. The other option is to enter coding directly via factory data 16x 3 digit codes, but I think these codes are only found at MB it says use "microfilm", I assume if you had the correct numbers you could code In/out certain features, it would be extremely difficult to guess them, however I had time so I went through 1000 entries of the 9 digit code and found approx. 10 working codes but they give various fault codes in the CLK55 system I have.
Because I was doing this with C43 ECU and CLK55 EGS51 w/touchshift some fault codes may be generated so really these checks need to be done with stock C43 to be sure what is causing fault codes.
Also noted when using the E55 coding it gave fault code with CAN to EIS - I need to check if this is wired differently in the E55?,for the OP it's worth checking if you plan to use the E55 ECU.

Zayed,
I was slightly wrong before,it is 16x3 factory codes...I adjusted posts above to suit.
I'm interested in what "carry out identification without coding" means, I cannot access this because the ECU is locked with EIS.

Thanks for all of the feedback. This forum is a great resource!
I hope to free up some time in the next 2 weeks to get this motor swap moving forward.
Is there a good thread out there for step by step instructions on removing/installing the motor from our cars?
