Finally Got AMG Private Lounge Decals
Wooooooo! Finally got my letter from AMG with my Private Lounge stickers in it! Mounted it on the passenger side lower left windshield. Attached a couple pics.
Also used the rest of a headlight restore kit I had wasting space in the garage on my faded Affalterbach hood emblem. Shined up pretty good! Next step is all four shocks. Probably will go for billy B8's. I want Koni's but they're double the price.. ouch. Not conducive for a graduate students budget.. Maybe someday I'll shell out the cash for 'em.

A VIN can be registered more than once with Private Lounge. My car was registered by a previous owner, AMG will tell you it is already registered then ask for you to send a scan of your cars registration with some other info. Here's the email I received from AMG:
[Quote]
"Dear Mr Bolen,
Thank you for your interest in the AMG Private Lounge. We are sorry that you
have experienced difficulty registering for the AMG Private Lounge and are happy
to help create an account for you.
Please email us the following information and we will setup your account for
you:
- Preferred username (2 username options; MAY NOT contain first name or email
address)
- Address (street, city, zip, state, country)
- Preferred dealer
- Please select all preferred contact methods*: Email, Post, Telephone
(Please see below for data usage and consent information before agreeing to be contacted via the methods above)
Once we have created your account, we will send you confirmation of completion
along with your user-id and password. You will be prompted to change your
password when you log on.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you and please do
not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.
We look forward to welcome you as an AMG Private Lounge Member soon.
With kind regards,
Your AMG Private Lounge Team"
[end quote]
Hope this helps! Point is, they will re-register the vin in your name.
With regards to acquiring the stickers, I randomly received mine about a month after signing up. I bet a quick email to them could get a set sent out to you.

private lounge is just like a private forum
it's 99% people only concerned with new AMG's. don't go there for anything involving an AMG that's more than 3-5 years old.

Agreed, mostly people with newer AMG's. Only really good for getting a cool sticker and info of some fun events . In my experience anyway

So why do I want these stickers on my window exactly?
