The wheels came on the CLK and 170 SLK with amg sport appearance package. If you get some, make sure you find some with the polished lip, they did make them a lot on the CLK without the polished lip.
Oh and thanks

I had a C43 for a couple years, and now have an STi.
I liked the V8 torque, but the auto transmission got boring.
I loved the old-school-ness of the car, drove really nice even on eibach lowering springs. It sounded great, but not loud enough.
I wanted all out performance and I enjoy working on my own cars and modding, the Subaru was just better in those areas.
I now have a 09 C300 for the days I feel lazy, or sophisticated. I drive the STi when I want to pass everyone and set off car alarms.

I think you're going to get biased results here. I like the sound of the turbo flat-4, but I've gotta go with the muffler deleted C43. I ran mine for a minute with the whole catback removed when I was deleting the resonator and it was heavenly goodness. I just don't think I could drive around on a regular basis with it that loud. Electric cutout anyone?

my wife came home one day talking about a guy in a "blue, very loud subaru" racing her at a red light. she said she won (stock 98 C43)
clearly, that subaru has not had the work done that yours has had. but for the money he would spend on all those mods to beat a girl in a C43, he could just garage the subaru and buy a C43, too.
not a tough decision, if you ask me.

Challenger Hellcat Exhaust Note:
Never heard a 4 cylinder exhaust note i liked. Call me biased, I guess. They just don't elicit an emotional response from me. I can tell a good one from a bad one. But nothing compares to this:

I love the subaru flat-four grumble. It sounds angry and fast, with the right exhaust. But even a straight-piped Wrx or STi is outmatched by an angry German C43 with double the cylinders, when it comes to sound.

Where i grew up we had a real rally course and as a kid i had a chance to watch it a few times. I guess this is why i always had something for cars like evos and subarus. No other jdm excites me as much as these cars do but at the end of the day a n/a v8 sound is hard to beat for me.
To each his own i guess but that subaru does sound nice though

Well. the reason for me posting the vid was to compare loudness, not exhaust note.
Also, the C43 is slow as ***** compared to a stock STi. A full second slower in the 1/4 mile.
And I agree, a nice sounding V8 is better than my Subaru any day. But my Sti is faster than a C63 and I just like bugging my managers at work who drive them. :P

Even though the STI is quicker, it doesn't carry the prestige of a C43, let alone a C63. One thing that is pushing me to sell my WRX is how common they are.. almost like the new honda civic, except the rex is actually worth owning. Not too mention how loud they are on the inside, and the fact at every stoplight some kid is revving his aforementioned lawnmower powered Si at you. I'll miss my rex's performance and handeling for sure, but I wont miss how loud, bumpy, and uncomfortable they are. I'm trading up from the punk kid in ripped jeans to a nicely tailored suit with a temper.

Inline 4 over flat 4 any day. but neither one matches the growl of a M113 V8

I have an aux cord in mine. Not sure how its hooked up since my friend did it while he had the car but i can find out.
I run it below the center console to the compartment between my front seats. I do have the euro command tho...not sure if it can be done with the stock radio. Someone?

I'd like to keep it stock looking as possible.. maybe there's an aftermarket radio for that? How do the speakers themselves sound? Bass, volume, distortion? Thank you so much for all your help everyone! I can't wait to be an official member.
