::ECS Tuning:: Crankshaft Position Sensors For Your W202 Chassis C-Class
Click HERE to order or for more information.
Starting At – $29.95*
The first operation a car's computer does when you turn the key is determine the position of the crankshaft. Ignition cannot take place without an understanding of where the valvetrain and pistons are at in their cycle - information the crankshaft provides.
When an engine struggles or fails to start, or when it feels down on power or responsiveness, the cause is oftentimes a failing crankshaft position sensor (CPS).
ECS offers several options to solve this highly disruptive but simple problem.
A Critical little Sensor
Fits the following W202 chassis vehicles:
C230 (1999-2000)
C280 (1998-2000)
C43 AMG (1998-2000)

That is correct. The other version of the CPS (part #0031539628), can be found by clicking the part number or by clicking HERE. That version is for vehicles up to engine number 60 002420. The version that is in our ad is for vehicles from engine number 60 002421.
We offer multiple brands for each of these versions. Brands that are offered for both versions are Genuine Mercedes-Benz, Bosch, FAE, and AB Elektronik.
The starting at price for the up to engine 60 002420 version is $26.63*, and the brand is FAE. The Bosch style is currently $45.12*.
If there is anything else I can help you with please let me know.

Dave,
I heard that some Electrical components of "Bosch/VDO/Hella" are the same production line in Frankfurt (disambiguation) AKA GMBH Germany,
is that right..?

Unfortunately I am not able to give you a definitive answer to your question. We are currently not direct with those brands so I do not have a contact to reach out to. I can say it is not uncommon for multiple manufactures or brands to use the same production line and stamp/case the products accordingly to the specific brand.
