Sounds like things have worked out well for you look forward to seeing it mounted!. I have done Las Vagas to San Diego before in a rental Toyota.. not quite as fun as the C43 haha.
I would have liked a shinny new one...but there is a used 744 here for sale so I will try snap it up

I think only thing that comes painted is door handles
Had a look at the used one here but it has been repaired and doesn't sit straight, also noted how it was installed having had to cut a large hole to gain access to the cavity/outer skin to bolt through which is outside the boot seal area, you would definitely want to rust proof that
this 97 C36 lived close to me, now has heavy front damage and interior completely shot. has the rear bucket seats though very comfy

Zayed,
Unfortunately it's in VERY rough condition all over, the rain you see was on the inside too becuase front windows were down, interior had dogs living there for years you cannot see the floor mats through fur ,front is completely writen off..only usable parts would be spot lights and maybe engine/trans. I have thought about doing C36 "S202" but I'm not sure if I have time now
I just wanted the spoiler but even that is not any good!
Cheers,

I mean that the owner took there dogs in there everywhere they went,I have seen them drive by many times, there was teeth marks all through the console ,very hungry
Like a lot of places, people don't realize what they have!.. it was a japan market import, hence the narrow truck plate holder, if it were new here it would have euro trunk...there are only few here in 97 though.

I found an original amg spoiler in Malaysia... Unfortunately the sealant has used by date 2000. Did anybody notice the LED light is made in New Zealand?..nothing is made in NZ haha, this has travelled along way to get back home.

are you sure this is a genuine spoiler from AMG or maybe a knock off from Malaysia?
otherwise it's great you found one.
was it cheap to buy?
when you drill, make sure you remove metal shavings and then coat the holes with rust paint.

Yes definitely geniune and good find,it was listed online but photo was incorrect however part number lined up perfect,i got them to send through actual photos to confirm. I payed 190nzd (about 150usd)
It comes with original amg installation instruction in german with install drawings, the vynel is to cover the third brake light but i think i will just remove it from parcel shelf
Also comes with sticky locating pads so you know where to drill!

Guys,
There is an interesting fault with this spoiler, for the light fitting to sit correctly, and for the spoiler to mould to the boot shape, it needs to be pressed down in the middle a little, maybe 5-10mm... this is why the spoiler on the damaged C36 I posted did not sit right, because if either of the fixings comes loose then the spoiler will "lift" on that side and look uneven. Also, pressing it down makes the spoiler slightly wider and lines up with the boot better.. I wonder if pressing and adding a little heat would permanently correct the problem?, the spoiler looks like it is fibre reinforced plastic.
Tony,
Do you have a similar fitment issue with yours? ,this is more likley due to manufacture rather than time/heat/storage

Hello Tony,
Here's a photo showing fitment, the outside edge follows the shape perfectly however the inside edge sits lifted, when the fixings are applied this would pull down ok and the spoiler height would drop in the center however it would be a much better install with no pre-tension, I guess maybe this was due to heat and storage ..but the C36 I viewed earlier had same issue!
The locating pads are plastic with sticky back and locate into the screw hole like this, you then remove the spoiler and drill through the locator on the pad.
