Ever since my accident in January (and 2 bent rims later), I'm looking to dump my current Gen V wheel setup and go back to monos...18" this time. Anyone have a flawless set for sale or know of a good/cheap source?

I am going to share my hours and hours of research trying to find 18" monos. I finally picked up a set off a member here for a steal! Still trying to decide whether to powdercoat, paint or re-chrome them... Kind of leaning towards re-chroming, but I would actually 24k coat them if it weren't so damn expensive! Anyway, here you go, good luck and let us know what you ended up doing!

I was eying CCI replica wheels. From the pics I've seen, they have the AMG stamping, but I don't have confirmation of that. Would like the stamping without actually getting OEM wheels (buying new anyway, as they are EXPENSIVE).

Only OEM comes stamped. If it doesn't have the AMG logo on a spoke, then it's a fake. And a good portion of fakes are made from inferior metal in china. There are various posts/threads around with people complaining of cracks in the rim near the hub. No replicas for me. I'll go with OEM C280 15" rims before I use replica monos.

even fake AMG style rims have faux AMG stamps with a slight tweak on AMG logo

A REPLICA is a wheel that is licensed from OEM to be manufactured and has no AMG stamp.
A FAKE is a wheel that has the AMG stamp and is trying to pass for OEM.

I believe he's looking for a replica.

If you want OEM, it is just a patience game and keeping your eyes pealed on Craigslist and the classifieds here. They pop up, I would say $500 to $600 for a set with some wear and $800 to $1000 for a set in good condition, just based on what I have seen. Your mileage may vary.

Alright, so it looks like I'm gonna wait for OEMs. I want the stamp (and quality, obviously). Wasn't sure if the CCIs were stamped but thanks to some of you guys, I learned they don't. You guys rock.

I know a guy that just had some e55 18" monos completely stripped, re powdercoated and the lips brushed. I haven't seen them since he had them refinished but I'll reach out and see if he wants to move them and gets some pics. I know he sold his c43 so not sure what he's planning to do with them.

I sometimes REALLY regret selling my OEM 2-piece staggered monos from the r129 SL73 AMG.

I might put up my e55s up for sale. I'm going to have the chrome stripped off first to see what they look into. Seller said they were straight and true

I like the three piece aero best. I think they come in 17x8.5/10, I'm going to suck it up with my 18 monos and have them powdered for this year. +1

I also recently saw some 18 monos refinished in paint with a polished lip on ebay for 800 free shipping. The ad sold the rears and the fronts separately, just search for e55 wheels 18.
