Can we all just...
Can we all just stop daily-ing our C43s? I know they are reliable, nice cars, but let's be real. When you get in an accident with these cars, it gets expensive, quick, not to mention the guaranteed salvage title that comes with it.
Since my accident, my C43 is no longer my daily. She is stored in an underground garage during the winter and will not see salt/snow at all, and rain very rarely.
Let's do our utmost to save these unique cars! Seeing all these accident posts make me cringe.

The whole salvage title thing is overrated i swear. On a mercedes your car can turn salvage just from a regular fender bender which in most cases honestly is more benefit to the car. It gets new parts and a paintjob....as long as the frame is not damaged.
My car was always clean title until i sold it to my friend who wrecked the fender and headlight. The car is salvage now and is back in my hands but i really dont care. The frame was never effected and pretty much 90% of the car was resprayed. Im keeping this car for as long as i can and now that its getting a 5.4 conversion ill probably drive it even more. I do want to pick up either a clean c36 or another c43 at some point. The second car would be more of a garage queen. Its hard to drove my c280 when i know i have a c43 just sitting there.

i use 2 bottles of fuel stabilizer which i put in the tank and then fill her up to max to preserve gasoline.
let your car idle for a few minutes after filling her up to mix n blend the wichbrew.

Generally, mine is not a daily, but she has been more reliable than my Accord. That tends to thrust her into the daily capacity every so often while the Accord is being worked on. I don't really have to worry about salt and snow much where I live, but the summer tires do tend to hate the cold.

My wife and I BOTH daily a C43...
My 1999 silver one is up to 286k miles. Wife's 1998 is up to 201k.
We have to daily them for the time being, as that was part of the deal in having TWO of them. My wife gave up her car so I could afford to buy/fix the 2nd one. In a year or two, she's getting a GLK 350 (used, of course). And that will be our new daily.
For me, I'm waiting to rescue a 1980 240d, all original with 140k miles on it. I absolutely love the rusty, dumb little ****box and can't wait to fix it up and keep it original. It will be much easier to daily that thing because it's different in every possible way from the 2 rare V8 muscle sedans I'll have in storage.
Still haven't decided which car is going to get the 5.4 swap.

i use Wynn's Fuel stabilizer, one bottle is for just 50 or 60 litres?
i use 2 bottles for a full tank of gas
put 2 bottles in the tank when you are very low on gas, then fill her up, start the car let her idle for approx 5 min so the brew will mix with new gas.
drive you car to the garage and store it.
don't fogget to wash the car and then inflate your tires a bit more if she sits for several months b4 you go fill your car with fuel stabilizer/new gas
wash the car ONLY on a dry day b4 you hybernate.
do everything in the correct order

How many oil changes have you done?

foggot to tell you, might be good to do an oil change first before you do the other stuff.
pick a dry day without sh-tty salt/snow messing up the streets and your car
inflate your tires a bit more to prevent square shape
do an oil change if it's dirty and long time use from last oil change
fill 2x bottles of fuel stabilizer then fill her up, then let her idle a few minutes
wash the car, dry her out in the wind when driving and dry the discbrakes by braking hard a few times
take her home put her to sleep
i hope this is a good procedure?
that's what i have to do every year
good luck

As bad as it sounds, and as much as I agree with preserving these cars as much as possible. I love my C43 for how it looks, but also how it drives and the feeling I get everytime. Now, having said that, I do daily my C43 and it is my only car but my roundtrip commute to work is about 5 miles so weekly I put very few miles on the car unless a out of ordinary trip happens, I also own a sportbike which I usually ride to far away places so I don't deal with traffic I think its tough to not daily these cars because they are so practical and fun at the same time. All I can say its pamper them as much as possible. Thats one reason I dont have multiple cars, I dont want to neglect one or the other. Rather baby the crap out of one, that and Im not rich.lol
I almost never see another c43 or c36, I use to see them on occassion a couple years back, but now Its like they don't exist. Mind you as well, I live in the bay area and see alot of other rare cars all the time. Heck, I see more ferrari's than c43/c36's.

none... for now
Every car ever made is a pile of steel, aluminum, and rubber(and sometimes other jazz). Every one of em. Some, are more special then others, usually because they are more fun to drive.
Those, we can conclude that not driving a fun car into the ground is actually a disservice to that car, and why I'd never own something like a ZL1 Camaro or Boss 429 Mustang. They are basically just automotive art, not cars.
Me? I'm getting a 05/06 C55 or GTO, hopefully with ~20k miles, and will drive it day in, day out. Life's too short to drive boring.

I'm not saying quit driving the things, but those of us in harsh winter environments shouldn't bring these cars out and those who daily in heavy traffic should also reconsider.
I put 30k miles/yr on my C43 prior to the accident. For 2014, I put about 1k on her (granted she was in the shop for 8-9 months).
She'll be driven; just not as a daily or in winter.
