98 C43 Silver Arrow Two Tone Piano "MacBeth" Sadly For Sale Full Write Up Inside
As promised all of you awesome guys get 1st dibbs. This weekend I'll post on eBay and
Craigs if needed. Im deeply saddened by my decision, I had such a great day with the car
yesterday through the corkscrew roads of Moraga. No music, just me the growl and the road.
Oh yeah my wife too, she loves taking scenic drives with me. - So here we go. Keep in mind
email or text is the best way to reach me. I'm open to discussing shipping. I searched for
4 months for this exact car. I have written up a very detailed review so that out of towners
have a great idea of what to expect. Please ask away with any other questions.

Story -
When I bought the car, it was in great shape just needed some TLC.
I drove it straight to the Walnut Creek Mercedes dealership and it was there
for 2 weeks getting everything dialed in per the the purchase inspection.
I never cut corners on my cars, I consider myself an enthusiast and love
a well driven, well maintained Mercedes.
After I got the car back I have put just about 800 miles on the car on weekend
trips up and down the coast and to Napa , St. Helena, Carmel and my favorite 17 Mile drive.
The car rides so very well, very smooth no bouncy or clunky sounds, no interior rattles or squeaks,.
I rarely even turn on the radio because it just so nice and calm to listen.
I have the original owners manual, service books, radio code and my personal favorite -
The Original Window Sticker !!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks and Feel -
I then had the exterior fully detailed, 3 times, yes 3 times. Thats clay bar, clear coat conditioned
hand polished every time. I had this done back to back within one week. The paint is butter soft
and smooth, No imperfections in the paint at all. Few rock chips have been meticulously touched
up with computerized matching paint.
Interior is Über clean and no rips tears or major cracks. The interior has been treated and conditioned
yet needs the ivory color to be cleaned one more time and treated. Its a layering process, same as exterior.
Floor mats look great and the piping is still white.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DIY very minor improvements -
Headliner is very clean , but has a slight sag in the rear section around the lamp. Have not
had this addressed yet most likely because I can not see it unless I look for it. The common sunroof shade
is sagging as well, but again as picky as I am and crucial as I see these items to be I just visually don't
see them while driving and have not addressed them yet.
Drive side view mirror, the mirror itself has darkened. Still visible, still works etc but the mirror has a darker
shade. Not sure if this is due to age or if its supposed to be like this.
Few minor door dings areas. My plan is to have them repaired by a painless dent removal professional asap.
Both front fog lights are cracked. They work just fine, but cracked and the pass side fog light is off its hangar.
Shift *** logo, missing.
Cup holder, works and operates, but secondary cup holder that slides out when you push the button has lost the
lower piece and I can't find it. Holds one cup just fine, but with this car do you really want to sip coffee in it?
Or do you want to own the road with 2 hands on the Ivory.
Asking Price $10,800 obo- open to offers just please be reasonable I don't want to lose too much, its a rare car,
low miles, great condition, very well kept, and 100% maintained by the dealer. Clean lines and clean interior.

you have a bjutiful car, you put a lot of cash into her with nip n tuck here 'n' there.
you'd be a fooooool selling this beauty!
i say don't sell her, keep her for life as it's a classic benz.
i think new cars don't have the same solid build quality anymore.
one day you are going to wake up and regret you sold this 744 silber arrow

the transition. I seriously would have to park something on the street
outside my house I have 2 in the garage and 2 on the driveway and port lol

Thanks for chiming in -
As stated before with a car like this I beleive in the saying "To each their own"
There is a 99 C43 with 121K on it, silver on solid black - needs the body shop to
repair a large dent in the back door and replace a front fender who is asking $7900,
won't budge under $7.5K Bone stock with some repair history. No front end suspension
update and no records of Trans services and needs 4 tires.
My cosmetics have been worked on a what's left is a headliner sag that's really minor
and a working but cracked fog light.
I'm open to offers that are reasonable with taking some loss in mind, plus im offering a
stock set of Monoblock 17" wheels and 8/32 tires.
Everyone will value this in many different ways and knowing that is why- I'm open to criticism as much as I am a reasonable offer.

Bought mine a couple years ago with 68k for 8,000 mint condition. White one before that with 98k bought for 7500 which a forum member now owns.
