Can and should this be repaired or replaced???
So I finished work yesterday and walked over to my car only to find a nice present awaiting my arrival. No note and no witnesses. Insurance is covering it although I do have to pay a $300 deductable. The bumper cover is less than two years old as insurance paid for a new one. My question is.....should Benz bumpers be repaired or just replaced when cracked? I've already tracked down several brand new bumper covers and I personally would rather put on a new one. I'm pretty certain that repairing it would cost pretty much the same as a new one which is $665.60 USD. Any input is greatly appreciated.

sorry about your damage.
did someone hit you and took off, no written note on windshield?
how bad is the ddamage.
put up a picture so we can tell you if it's repairable or replaceable?
when shop repairs bumpers they plastic weld them if they are not way to damaged?

ok, now i see better
if you don't have any cracks on your bumper and it's only plate frame being busted, a new paintjob will fix everything
with a new frame for front plate

if there is no other damage other than long crack?
possible plastic welding might be a cheaper solution for your insurance company?
you know how these ****'s want to save a buck fixing parts than replacing damaged parts.

If you have the option of an OEM new bumper cover, obviously that is what you want.
Repairing isn't bad though and can be just fine and you would never know. I would take a repaired OEM bumper cover over any aftermarket one.

I had purchased a brand new C43 bumper skin online and it had to come from Germany. Mercedes Canada has them in stock at the Toronto warehouse. Surprising but true!
